HISTORY
Whiteout first appeared alongside the villains Doctor Polaris, Dropded and Polestar following the Crisis on Infinite Earths. His origin and history has yet to be revealed. Polaris sought to make alliances with other villains to prevent the formation of the Green Lantern Corps of Earth. To this end, they joined Sonar and his comrades, Throttle and Blindside. Despite a number of attempts to defeat the Lanterns, the villains failed in their objectives and the villains, for the most part, went their separate ways.
Years later, Whiteout resurfaced, this time with Throttle and Blindside. Still in Los Angeles, they were hired to kidnap Rita Covas by the Culver Boulevard '68, a criminal gang.to kidnap Rita Covas,[2] This endeavor was foiled by Gangbuster and the trio of villains have not been seen since.[3]
POWERS AND WEAPONS
Whiteout has exhibited the ability, with a wave of his hand, to erase portions of an opponent's body. The opponent can still function normally, as evidenced by erasing the mid-section of Green Lantern Arisia, though it is possible disorientation could occur. This "erased" state is temporary and does not appear to have any long term side effects. It is not known what would happen if an opponent was erased completely.
