HISTORY

Blindside’s origins remain unknown, though his costume suggests his abilities were granted by technological means. He had a successful partnership with the criminal called Throttle, though both wanted more, leading them to stage a prison break which freed the villain Sonar. Blindside and Throttle sought to align themselves with Sonar’s sonic-based powers to increase their own standing in the underworld.[1]

The trio were soon at odds with two Green Lanterns, John Stewart and Katma Tui met a decisive defeat.[2] Blindside, Sonar and Throttle next foound themselves as part of a collection of villains led by Guy Gardner into the anti-matter universe of Qward.[3]

Returning home following the Crisis on Infinite Earths, Blindside and Throttle were chafing at Sonar's direction. The arrival of Doctor Polaris came with another offer to join forces as the newly established Green Lantern Corps of Earth threatened the villains, though Polaris argued their combined strength was need to drive off the Lanterns.[4] Despite third planning, once more, the villains were defeated.[5]

Blindside would reappear years later, with Throttle and Whiteout, an ally of Doctor Polaris. This new trio were hired by the Culver Boulevard '68, a criminal gang, to kidnap Rita Covas[6] but were beaten by Gangbuster. Blindside, nor nor his partners in crime have been seen since.[7]

POWERS AND WEAPONS

Blindside's powers involve the ability to generate literally blinding levels of light. It appears his costume plays a major role in this, but to the extent has yet to be understood.
