"Xum is the everything --- and the nothing --- and the infinite creation that lies between!" - Xum of All Things
Quote taken from Larfleeze #9

HISTORY

As the eldest surviving scion of the House of Tuath-Dan, Xum of All Things was defined by his unwavering patience and a rigid adherence to ancestral tradition. Upon departing their home dimension, Xum established the Citadel of Eternity[1] as a sanctum designed to house the family’s powerful artifacts and a secreted repository of his own inert clone bodies.[2]

When the common threat of Larfleeze necessitated a family council, the House gathered within the Citadel’s halls. However, the assembly was a trap, Adora of Heart's Desire betrayed her kin, bringing the Orange Lantern directly into their midst and enraging Xum of All Things. Driven by an insatiable hunger, Larfleeze perceived Xum as a font of energy to be consumed. A desperate struggle ensued as both attempted to absorb the other’s essence, but the wielder of Avarice proved more volatile.

Larfleeze destroyed Xum's primary body while attempting to extract the An'Ankra Essence. Forced into retreat, Xum projected his consciousness back to the Citadel, inhabiting the lowly form of an insect which was disdainfully crushed by Adora.[3]

His essence fled once more, taking root in a tree on the planet Shlimazel-3 near the fallen Wanderer and Pulsar Stargrave had fallen. Believing Xum was a demon, the terrified natives attacked the "talking tree" with axes. Xum’s current whereabouts remain a mystery, though it is presumed his consciousness escaped the splintering wood before the end.[4]

POWERS AND WEAPONS

Perhaps the most powerful of his house, Xum of All Things was able to transfer his essence to different physical forms. He claimed to be one with the cosmic An'Ankra Essence that binds all creation though using this power required concentration and will.

Xum also wielded Fathom, the Forever Blade, which he intended to use against Larfleeze to absorb his opponent's essence, but was not successful.[5]
