HISTORY

Turpa was a member of a thieves' guild who billions of years ago dared to steal from the Guardians of the Universe on their homeworld Maltus. Carrying bags of loot, they were chased by the Manhunters, with all but Chattle escaping. Within their stolen goods was a map which promised great treasure of the planet Okaara. Trekking through the planet's Forest of Weeds their number was reduced again as Flob was taken by the carnivorous vegetation. The remaining three fell though the jungle floor into a vast temple in which an orange power battery called out to each of them.

Killed by the orange light

They pulled upon the battery, each claiming as their own. The arrival of the Manhunters and the Guardians themselves raised the stakes as orange energy tore through the temple,downing Manhunters and killing Guardians. Turpa was killed in one of these blasts, becoming an Orange Lantern while Larfleeze and Blooch fought for possession of the battery.
