HISTORY
Sikarra, described by Green Lantern Hal Jordan as a relentless "yellow desert world" in Space Sector 863, proved to be a death trap for rookie Green Lantern Krista. Caught in a massive sandstorm with a nearly depleted power ring, Krista was helpless against the yellow sands which rendered her defenses ineffective. The storm’s eddy dragged her toward the waiting maw of a Tracheus Rex, a subterranean ambush predator native to Sikarra.

Though Hal Jordan answered her emergency beacon, he arrived just as the beast swallowed the rookie whole. Jordan dove into the creature's gullet to retrieve her, but the victory was hollow; Krista had already been exposed to the predator’s digestive fluids. Despite Jordan's desperate flight to Oa, the fast-acting poison claimed Krista's life before they could reach the Guardians' medical facilities.
This tragic sequence was later revealed to be a "psychodrama," a psychological trial orchestrated by the Guardians to test Jordan’s resilience following his encounter with the wizard Myrwhydden.[1]
COMMENTS
Although this specific scenario was a simulation with fictionalized events, it is likely an accurate representation of the planet Sikarra.
