HISTORY
Proletari-Ant was a member of the Soviet metahuman strike team known as the Crimson Host. In late 1940 / early 1941, they were sent to New York City to eliminate their predecessor, Vladimir Sokov, the original Red Lantern, whom the Soviet state deemed a liability. As Sokov was receiving protection from Green Lantern Alan Scott, the American hero was also marked for termination.
During the initial skirmish, Proletari-Ant utilized his size-shifting capabilities to shrink and forcibly remove the power ring from Scott's finger but the Green Lantern felt the attempt and successfully flicked the miniature assailant aside.[1]

The battle escalated when the Justice Society of America arrived to provide reinforcements for Scott. In the ensuing melee, Proletari-Ant engaged several high-profile mystery men in combat. He first faced off against the Atom and then the Spectre. In the end, the Soviet team was vanquished as Red Lantern recovered his strength and projected a surge of energy that apparently vaporized Proletari-Ant and the entire Crimson Host.[2]
POWERS AND WEAPONS
Proletari-Ant was developed from the project which empowered the Red Lantern. Differences remain in how they wield the Crimson Flame as Proletari-Ant has demonstrated the ability to reduce his size to mere inches. It is presumed he has enhanced stretch and endurance though this has not been officially documented.
