HISTORY

Peeri and Volitans are two of the Green Lantern Corps's newest recruits. Their early training was put to the test when they were assigned to guide a Slyggian ambassador’s ship to Oa. The mission nearly turned tragic when the ship caught fire and began a rapid, uncontrolled descent.

Fortunately, the pair were aided by Kyle Rayner, who stabilized the vessel and brought it in for a safe landing. The rookies were starstruck, recognizing Rayner as the "Torchbearer" who famously kept the emerald light alive when the rest of the Green Lantern Corps had fallen.^[1]
