HISTORY

The Orrery is a life-sized, artificial model of the Vega System, engineered as a complete replacement for the original celestial bodies and their populations. Created by the exiled Angel of Vega, Invictus, the raw materials were taken from another universe, likely at great cost to the worlds of that universe. Each world within the system is populated by genetically modified beings intended to supersede the authentic citizens of the actual Vega System.

The Orrery served as the primary base for Invictus's campaign against his hated foe Larfleeze and the Vega System's perceived corruption. It arrived in the Vega System and began with the destruction of the planet Aello, which was replaced by the artificial "New Aello."

During the final confrontation between Invictus and a representative coalition from from each of the Lantern Corps, the Orrery was severed from its creator, significantly weakening Invictus and rendering the system vulnerable. The entire structure was seized by the Weaponer. The Orrery's current location remains unknown, and its status as a functional system following the Weaponer’s acquisition has not been documented.
