HISTORY
Minos IV, located in Space Sector 24, was a planet defined by extreme geological instability. Its crust was prone to violent, continent-shattering earthquakes that threatened the very existence of its inhabitants. Despite these harsh environmental conditions, the planet was home to a peaceful, primitive civilization.

On the final day of his tenure as a Green Lantern, Kwo Varrikk decided that simple rescue operations were no longer sufficient. Over the course of his career, Varrikk had intervened multiple times to rescue the populace from the devastation of these massive quakes. He sought a permanent remedy for the planet's structural instability. Utilizing the full power of his ring, Varrikk used the emerald energy to essentially "sew" the planet's shifting tectonic plates together.
The primitive civilization of Minos IV viewed this act as a miracle. In their gratitude, they worshiped Kwo Varrikk as a deity. Varrikk, however, viewed the stabilization of Minos IV as a final act of duty, a fulfillment of his responsibility as a Green Lantern, ensuring peace long after his departure.[1]
