HISTORY

The Mindwriter is a device created by the Controllers and utilized by Controller Mu to override the free will of a sentient target. The device was used to abduct Abin Sur of Earth 20. Once captive, Abin Sur was compelled to restrain the Qwa-Man on the planet Athmoora, preparing the entity to be unleashed against Green Lantern Hal Jordan. The ensuing battle between the two Green Lanterns ended when Jordan successfully identified and removed the mindwriter from Abin Sur, nly moments before the Qwa-Man could strike.

SPECIFICATIONS

The mindwriter has been observed as a small, disc worn around the user’s neck like a pendant, allowing it to maintain close physical proximity to override the subject's free will.
