HISTORY

Guardian 7 was the designation given to one of the Guardians of the Universe who fought alongside the Green Lantern Corps and the heroes of Earth during the final battle of the Sinestro Corps War.

By the climax of the conflict, the Anti-Monitor had been vanquished, though not before the Guardian later known as Scar sustained a grievous, life-altering injury. With the Anti-Monitor gone, Superboy-Prime remained the final catastrophic threat to the multiverse.

In a desperate final stand, Guardian 7 engaged the overconfident Superboy-Prime. Recognizing that conventional force was insufficient, the Guardian sacrificed his life to release a massive surge of internal energy. The resulting blast was so powerful it began to tear Prime apart, atom by atom, ultimately plunging the villain into the multiverse. While the maneuver succeeded in removing the threat, Guardian 7 was completely vaporized in the explosion.
