HISTORY
Gangor is a planet in a red sun system with a technological level equivalent to modern day Earth. In a computer simulation, Jor-El created a predictive model for Kal-El if he were to be sent to Gangor upon the destruction of Krypton.
In the simulation, Kal-El was taken in by a married couple and raised to become a brilliant scientist. His adoptive father on Gangor, also a scientist, developed an experimental ray designed to artificially stimulate and grant extraordinary superhuman abilities. Kal-El manifested the power of super-speed, akin to the Flash. In his attempt to determine the upper limits of this newfound velocity, Kal-El accelerated to a degree that exceeded his biological control. He effectively propelled himself off the surface of Gangor, accelerating into the vacuum of space, where the resulting environment led to his demise.[1]
