Synopsis: - Covering the conflict in Umec, Lois Lane is shot by an unknown sniper. Superman is there in less than five seconds, and takes her to a field hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, Xlim and Ruin are transported to Stryker's Island, but Ruin escapes en route, killing six Special Crimes Unit officers including Skeeter, the second in command. Once word of Lois' shooting reaches the super-heroic community, via the Daily Planet, they mobilize help and get Lois to Doctor Mid-Nite's clinic. Desperately worried about his wife, Superman vows that he will not leave her side.
