Ron Troupe is a Daily Planet reporter and husband of Lucy Lane (and thus the brother-in-law of Lois Lane and Clark Kent). His father-in-law, Sam Lane, did not approve of the marriage, but softened a bit after Ron and Lucy named their son Samuel after him.
