Synopsis:

As Spoiler ushers Batgirl into the afterlife, showing her the sad fate of Blüdhaven at the hands of the Society, Shiva brings her body to the Lazarus Pit and causes her to live again. Finally, the truth can be told - Cain killed Shiva's sister Carolyn to unleash the potential he saw in her, and brought her into the League of Assassins. And after a time, he had a proposition for her, to create a true assassin with the potential for killing in their genes and their upbringing. And so Shiva and Cain joined together and Cassandra was soon born. An hour after the birth, Shiva walked away from her daughter. And now they fight, once more to the death. And it seems death will be the inevitable result, but Batgirl leaves Shiva's dying body hanging above the Lazarus Pit. A life for a life. And she heads out into the world alone, no longer an assassin, no longer a bat, just herself. Whatever that may mean.
