Comment(s):

As part of Oa's acceptance into the United Planets, the Guardians decide to reorganize the Green Lantern Corps. For one-third or 1,200 of the 3,600 Space Sectors, they are considered "defunct;" this means the stationed Green Lanterns will vacate, with the protection of these sectors being ceded to the United Planets Brigade.
Furthermore, Corps hierarchy such as Honor Guard, Torchbearer, Clarissi, and Illustres was dissolved. Those Lanterns no longer with Sectors were to be reassigned. Excluding Simon Baz, who was assigned to the Sciencells on Oa, Lanterns were assigned one of three positions:
Crux, those Lanterns assigned to five worlds requiring permanent defense due to their vital role in the universe.
Quest, who were one thousand and one Lanterns assigned to explore the Dark Sectors, regions between Known Space and the Promethean Galaxies into which the Guardians could not see.
Outriders, those Lanterns whose responsibilities would fluctuate based on the needs of the United Planets charter.
At this time, only a minute number of assignments have been documented and the status of Lanterns will be updated on the index as more details are learned.
As with the previous issue, quite a few Green and Red Lanterns that had died in previous stories make appearances. Whether this is due to retcons, another member of the Lantern's species being given a ring or simply an artist's error has yet to be determined.
This index may be updated later based on further revelations regarding the United Planets. It's likely there are a number of other planets / species not seen or mentioned in this issue, but are probably in attendance.
Story continues in the next issue.

Solicitation:

A Guardian of the Universe lies dead, and the universe teeters on the brink of war. As the summit of the United Planets and the Green Lantern Corps falls into chaos, an even bigger threat looms. With John Stewart reassigned to the role of an ambassador, a surprise appearance by one of the newest Green Lanterns may be all that stands between the Corps and oblivion. (Spoiler: it’s Far Sector’s Jo Mullein.)
