History

A professional Rogue profiler whose job is to know details of the colourful villains who gravitate towards cities with meta-human defenders. He originally worked with the FBI, but was forced to leave after a mid-judged call which led to the death of his father-in-law. His wife left him and asked that he be made to leave. He then moved to Keystone City, where he worked alongside Officer Fred Chyre and Detective Jared Morillo, until an encounter with Grodd left him terribly injured. When the Flash would not rewind history to undo the damage using the Cosmic Treadmill, Zolomon tried to do so himself. The Treadmill exploded, leaving him further injured but with abilities concerning time. His mind snapped, and he became Zoom, determined to show the Flash the sacrifices necessary to be a hero, causing the death of the speedster's unborn twin children. He was eventually stopped, his mind stuck in the moment of his father-in-law's death. He is incarcerated, insensate, in Iron Heights, and his ex-wife is determined to save him and bring him back to sanity.
