  Professor John Dandy, an agent of Pentagon's Unusual Operatives Division, was a master of disguise who, using the code-name of Yankee Doodle, battled any threat against mother, country, and apple-pie in the days of the Cold War. His last official mission involved tracking a renegade governmental agent down to an obscure and uninvestigated sub-basement of the Pentagon. When he returned, he had changed. His original face had been replaced with a creation made of Scrabble pieces, a hair comb, and other junk. He had also been gifted with a strange super-power - several floating faces who, among other things, could smell fear and get stuck on other people. This "new" Yankee Doodle, mindless and destructive, is mostly imprisoned in the Pentagon these days, but was released to battle the Brotherhood of Dada. Together with the Army, Yankee Doodle succeeded in killing the entire Brotherhood.
