  A few years ago, Animal Man learned that he was a comic book character and got to meet Grant Morrison, his writer at the time. (Yes - that actually happened.) Although Animal Man's memories of this event have been erased, the DCU incarnation of Grant Morrison later realized that he had written himself "into continuity" - and could not get out again! Writing himself into a Suicide Squad story, he joined the puzzled team during the event known as the War of the Gods. With a laptop strapped to his chest, the Writer successfully used his power to write things into existence, in the battle against Circe's minions. When suddenly suffering from writer's block, he was killed by savage were-beasts.
