History

  W.R. Wintergreen was born in England and joined the S.A.S. at the age of sixteen. During the Suez Crisis, he formed a bond with American sergeant Slade Wilson after rescuing him from a bomb blast. In return, Wilson saved Wintergreen from a Viet Cong prison years later. Wilson later became the mercenary known as Deathstroke the Terminator, at which time Wintergreen stood by his side as a friend and butler. In recent years, Deathstroke (temporarily) left his old life behind him, and Wintergreen chose to "honor his last unspoken request" by overseeing Vigilance, Inc., an international search and rescue operation. The next time he encountered his old friend, he was shot for his trouble, killed by Jericho, Deathstroke's son, who had taken residence in the mercenary's body.
