Lani Gilbert has the meta-human ability of jumping forward in time, one little step at a time, which gives the illusion that she is moving at super-speed. She originally built a criminal career as a blackmailer thanks to her computer skills and standing as the co-owner of Gotham City's Gilcom, a computer hardware manufacturer. As the Velvet Tiger, Lani has clashed with the original Batgirl and the second Hawk and Dove team, and recently appeared fighting Pantha as one of Circe's minions.
