A young woman from Hell's Heart, Washington D.C.'s worst neighbourhood, Traci Thirteen learnt much about witchcraft from her mother, an education which her father seriously disagreed with. She recently encountered Superman when he came to the neighbourhood to track down Lana Lang, the vice-president's wife, who had got lost there. She helped the hero break the hold of parastic "heart-breakers" which fed on sorrow and hopelessness, and later stepped in to save Superboy when he and the rest of America's heroes lost their powers.
