History

  Thar was the king of the pacifist cult called "the Idylists" of the Atlantean colony of Shayeris. After having stockpiled a collection of deadly weapons, he was falsely accused of aggression and insanity, and was murdered by his own palace guards. His queen, Berra, was sent into exile and gave birth to a child named Garth. Garth grew up to become Aqualad/Tempest II.
