History

  Conceived when the second Mist raped Starman Jack Knight, the child originally called Kyle (after the Mist's deceased brother) lived his first years in the care of his loving but insane mother, who attempted to bring the boy up to hate his biological father. However, following Culp's ravaging of Opal City, the new Mist was killed by her father, the original Mist. After Ted Knight, the original Starman, had sacrificed his life in battle with the villain, Jack took care of the infant boy and re-named him Ted. Soon thereafter, he quit his hero career to bring up his son.
