  Blüdhaven's newest crime fighter is Catalina Flores, a former FBI agent and sister of the city's assistant district attorney. She admired Jonathan Law, the golden age hero Tarantula, and decided to adopt his motif, battling the corrupt police officers and gangland criminals of the 'haven. She encountered Nightwing several times, and the more experienced crime fighter did not approve of the more extreme measures she took. In time, he learned that she had killed Delmore Redhorn, the city's chief of police, and, working with Tad Ryerstad, Nightwing ensured that she was arrested for her crime. However, her brother was determined to see her released, and suppressed evidence to ensure that this would happen. On her release, Catalina killed Blockbuster in Nightwing's presence, an event which shocked the hero, more due to his inaction than her action. She then tried to force him to marry her, or at least work with her full time, but he has turned her in for her crimes, also (as Dick Grayson) confessing to his part in the affair. Whether Catalina will be convicted remains to be seen.
