History

  When the Green Lantern Corps still existed, the deadliest criminals of the known universe (too dangerous to be sentenced to Takron-Galtos or the Guardians' Prison Planet) were imprisoned on the planet Oa, in so-called "Sciencells" powered by the Central Power Battery.

  Criminals that were imprisoned in the Sciencells included: Sinestro, Goldface, Evil Star, Myrwhydden, and Sector 3600.
