Test pilot for an Eastern Bloc country, the man who would become Savitar became the fastest man alive when he tested a supersonic plane and was infused with the Speed Force. He decided that he wanted complete control over this power and spent many years researching its every aspect, battling Max Mercury in the process. Thrown forward in time by this battle, Savitar was then opposed by a whole number of speedsters and was absorbed into the Speed Force.
