History

  A British ex-hippie, amateur magician and former friend of John Constantine. Ritchie was among the friends of Constantine who encountered the demon Nergal in Newcastle. He was also a pioneer in the field of quantum magicks and once helped Constantine spy on infernal powers via his computer net. While his mind drifted in cyberspace, Ritchie accidentally came too close to Heaven and his body self-combusted. However, his soul had survived and eventually took residence in the demonic body of Nergal. But Hell's rulers did not take such a blasphemy lightly. Their infernal 'police force', Agony & Ecstasy, drew Ritchie to Hell, where his soul still resides.
