History

  Maurice Puanteur was a French corporate villain responsible for the death of the father of the French twin sisters Vivian and Constance d'Aramis. As adults, the sisters created the vigilante identity called Crimson Fox (I-II) to avenge their father. During the Foxes' time with the Justice League, Puanteur attacked Stagg Industries with the help of domesticated giant worms he had found in ancient underground tunnels. The League defeated the worms and the Foxes saw Puanteur being devoured by his "pets", their revenge finally extracted.

  However, Puanteur later returned as a half human, half worm creature, and killed Vivian. In his following encounter with Constance and Metamorpho, Puanteur apparently met his final fate.
