History

  Curt Calhoun was the foreman of the metallurgy lab at Kord, Inc., who was accidentally covered in a molten alloy when saving his employer Ted Kord (a.k.a. Blue Beetle II) from the path of spilling metal. The alloy was laced with the self-regenerating metal known as Promethium and endowed Calhoun with super-strength and invulnerability. With the help from Steve Dayton (a.k.a. Mento), Calhoun learned to control his powers, and as Prometheus, he was drafted into Dayton's "Hybrid", a team of reluctant anti-heroes who fought the New Teen Titans. Prometheus was basically a good guy who did not really want to carry out Mento's agenda.

  Recently, Prometheus and most of his teammates were reported to have died on the gladiator-like Arena of Roulette's House, a gambling club for super-villains.
