History

  The Phalanx was an Italian metahuman who, in the guise of a Roman centurion, was capable of replicating himself into a small army. He joined the Cadre of the Immortal, who was actually an agent of the world-threatening Overmaster. Upon the Immortal's death, Phalanx joined the Overmaster's Cadre, who were ultimately defeated by the Justice League.
