History

  Five super-powered beings from the anti-matter world of Qward modeled themselves after super-heroes of Earth to create their anti-version of the JLA. As the Crime Syndicate, they battled the Justice League, the Justice Society, and the Secret Society of Super-Villains on various occasions. Owlman was a mind-manipulator who resembled Earth's Batman. Owlman and the rest of the Qwardian Crime Syndicate were killed during the Crisis.

  [Note: Pre-Crisis, this Owlman and his Crime Syndicate were from the parallel world known as Earth-3. Post-Crisis, they have been shown in flashbacks as Qwardians. After the introduction of Grant Morrison's new Crime Syndicate in the JLA: Earth 2 graphic novel, it's doubtful whether the Qwardian Crime Syndicate is still canon. But it's nicer to think they are and to consider them to be until it's contradicted on-panel.]
