History

A Faerie woman given to Lord Morpheus (a.k.a. Dream of the Endless) as a gift by Queen Titania of Faerie. Titania hoped that Morpheus, who at the time disposed of the Key to Hell, would agree to leave Hell empty and thus free Faerie from an old agreement with the netherworld. While the dreamlord chose a different way, he still got to keep Nuala since Titania would not accept her gifts to be returned. This came as a surprise to Nuala, who reluctantly adapted to life in the Dreaming. Morpheus ordered her to shed the glamour worn by her kind, and so Nuala had to revert from a beutifully blonde woman into a rather mousy elfish being – her natural look. Nuala knew that Morpheus really did not want her there. To make herself useful, she voluntarily became the cleaning woman of Dream's castle. Soon, Nuala developed a crush on Morpheus, who hardly noticed her. When Titania later reclaimed Nuala, she did no longer want to leave the Dreaming. She hoped that Dream would not allow her to leave… but he did. Disappointed, Nuala returned to Faerie. Eventually, she revealed her love to Morpheus, but shortly afterwards, he died and was reborn as the new Dream – Daniel. Nuala still lives in Faerie and has returned to her glamourous state, but frequently returns to the Dreaming as a guest. Nuala is the sister of the Cluracan.
