History

  Dean Hunter was framed for a murder committed by the costumed villain Chancer. Escaping jail, Hunter stole a military camoflague suit that gave him chameleon-like powers, and headed to Gotham where Chancer had affiliated himself with the group called "the Misfits". A convicted killer, Nimrod ran into some trouble with the Batman, but later helped him against the Misfits. When the villains were defeated, Nimrod gave himself up to law.

  Although the Joker claimed that he had killed Nimrod during the earthquake of Gotham, he had apparently mixed up the second-stringers. The one killed was clearly Wilde Norton, a.k.a. "Wild".
