History

  An enchanted sword from the otherdimensional realm of Myrra, the Nightsword was created by the Myrran court magician Farben for the heroic warrior Nacht (I). When Nacht fell victim to an evil plot conceived by Farben and others, the Sword magically inserted itself into a stone pillar. Millennia later, a descendant of Nacht, the Earthman named Jim Rook, came to claim the Sword and used it to become the heroic Nightmaster, new protector of Myrra.

  Seemingly sentient, the Nightsword somehow guides Nightmaster in how to wield it in battle. It also fills him with unusual, but not superhuman, strength. The Nightsword can deflect magical bolts and "sings" (makes a humming sound) when danger approaches. Its touch causes a person to speak only the truth.
