History

  Sturges Hellstrom, a.k.a. Nightshade, was a remarkable thief and the owner of the "scare-for-hire" party services Nightmares, Inc., who targeted its clients for burglaries. The villainous Nocturna formed an alliance with Hellstrom after her former partner, the Night-Thief, had been put in jail. Nocturna would conceive the plans of robbery and theft, and and Hellstrom and his people would carry out the crimes. Once the scheme had run its course, Nocturna called it quits. Shortly afterwards, the Night-Thief broke out of prison and, in an act of jealosy, killed his perceived rival Nightshade, with a dagger to the heart.
