History

  The daughter of an American senator and a Queen of the otherdimensional Land of Nightshades, Eve Eden found she could travel between her two native dimensions and transform herself into a living shadow. Eve, a practicing Catholic, has often worked alongside the government, with King Faraday and Captain Atom as well as the C.B.I. and the Suicide Squad. The Squad accompanied her on a failed mission to save her native dimension from the evil Incubus and Succubus. Later, Nightshade joined the InterC.E.P.T., an organization devoted to fighting interdimensional menaces, while allowing her own dimension time "to heal". A later encounter with Jared Stevens a.k.a. Fate stripped her of her shadow powers and replaced them with enigmatic, spectral ones. Nightshade is seemingly no longer human, but still active as a hero. She was briefly active with the L.A.W. team.
