History

  A spoiled rich kid from the upper class of Xanthu in the 30th century, Candi became aware of social inequities during a visit at one of her father's plants. She was disfigured by a bomb in an attempt on her father's life made by one of his employees. The alteration of her body by the explosion rendered her invulnerable but also changed her into a green-skinned "monstress". Rejected by her father, Monstress later joined Xanthu's super-team the Uncanny Amazers. During a battle against Mordru, she met the Legion of Super-Heroes and chose to join them. With the Legionnaires, Candi found a comfortable and happy home while her good nature and incredible force proved a valuable asset for the team. Lost with others Legionnaires in the Space Rift, Monstress was killed by Jan Arrah, the Progenitor.
