History

  The son of Highfather, ruler of New Genesis, Scott was sent to the hell planet of Apokolips as a child as part of a peace treaty between his father and Darkseid, ruler of Apokolips. Raised as one of Darkseid's troops, Scott never lost the goodness in his heart and yearned for freedom. One of Darkseid's elite warriors, Big Barda of the Female Furies, saw something in him and helped him to escape, later following him to Earth and becoming his wife. On Earth, Scott befriended an escape artist, Thaddeus Brown, learning the tricks of the trade from him, then extending them in ways not thought possible before.

  Scott then became a hero, battling against Darkseid's machinations on Earth, New Genesis and Apokolips, giving hope to the underclasses of the hell-planet and serving for a time on the Justice League.
