History

  Robots created by Doctor Will Magnus, which are capable of human thought and feeling and insist on acting as heroes. Each has a distinct personality: Mercury is insufferably arrogant, Platinum (the only female metal 'man') has long harboured a crush on Dr Magnus, and Tin is incredibly shy and self-effacing. Recently, in a sequence of events that led to the permanent death of their leader, Gold, and to their creator becoming one of their number (Veridium), they learnt that they were not, after all, robots with human qualities, but real humans now housed in robotic bodies.
