History

  Frances Kane was born in Blue Valley, Nebraska, and became a good friend to Wally West. One night while driving on a mountainous road, Frances's magnetic powers suddenly manifested and went out of control. Her father and brother were killed, but miraculously she escaped unhurt. Her mother believed she was possessed by the devil, and abandoned her. With help from the Teen Titans, Frances gained control of her powers, but also split into a 2nd personality called Magenta.

  While Frances is relatively stable, Magenta is most certainly not, and has an unhealthy obsession with Wally 'Flash' West. She has at times acted on the side of good, but more often than not has opposed the Flash, either alone or with others, most recently alongside various other semi-reformed Rogues working for the American government.
