History

  Jervis Tetch, a highly eccentric foe of Gotham City's protector Batman, who is certifiably insane, having, among other mental oddities, a strange Lewis Carroll fixation. Although quite mad, he is a scientific genius, his best-known invention being mind-control devices which are placed in his victims hats, making them susceptible to his will.
