HistoryHero Hotline is (or 'was', since recent activities have not been recorded) a corporate 24/7 hero organization that takes on missions from people with problems that they believe require super-hero expertise. The man behind Hero Hotline is called the Coordinator, and although he only communicates via a TV screen that does not expose his face, there have been indications that he is actually Harry “Tex” Thomson, a.k.a. Mr. America (I), former mysteryman of the 1940s and member of the All-Star Squadron. The staff changes constantly, but the core group consists of: Diamondette, Hotshot, Microwavebelle, Mr. Muscle, Private Eyes, and Voice-Over. The Night Crew includes Zeep the Living Sponge, Marie the Psychic Turtle, Thunderhead I, and Chlorino. Other heroes working for the Hotline have been glimpsed, including Card Queen II, Herald II, Ms. Terrific, and Tim Trench. There is also the invisible and intangible Fred (who could very well be a sound illusion created by Voice-Over). A huge staff of telephone operators are constantly active and the speed-reading Lightning Eyes helps processing the messages. Hero Hotline normally takes on missions such as finding lost valuables or rescuing cats out of trees, but have also battled villains such as Quakemaster, Firebug, Snafu, and the Calculator. The Hotline’s current activities, if any, are unknown, although the members still appear from time to time.
