History

  A group of ruthless women working for Apokolips' tyrannical ruler Darkseid. Led by Bernadeth, (Desaad's sister), who wields a deadly blazing knife, the Furies are constantly scheming to gain more power and prestige, but they are unswervingly loyal to Granny Goodness who 'lovingly' trained them all. The other Furies are the stubbornly obedient Stompa, whose footfalls can create mini-earthquakes; Lashina, fierce wielder of numerous flexible metallic bands; and the completely insane Mad Harriet, whose hands are equipped with razor-sharp claws.

  The Furies were originally led by Barda and have often been in conflict with her since she defected to the side of 'good'. Other women have worked with the Furies from time to time, but Bernadeth, Lashina, Stompa and Mad Harriet remain the core of this group of warriors.
