  Bast, also known as Bastet, is the cat-headed Egyptian goddess of the sun, the moon, cats and love. She is the daughter of Ra and is, just like her sister Sekhmet, Ra's avenger, "The Eye of Ra". Her son is the lion god Mahet. Bast regards all felines as her people. At some time, Bast met and befriended the dream lord Morhepus, a connection which convinced Ra to send Bast as his emissary when Morpheus was to give away the keys to Hell to a new master, thousands of years later. Today, Bast is extremely weak, slowly fading away due to lack of worship. Her recent scheme to have the cats take over the world failed miserably.
