HistoryThe King of the supernatural realm called Faerie. Auberon first became the fairy-king after he had proclaimed war on his predecessor, King Obrey, his own uncle. When Obrey died, Auberon inherited the throne and married Obrey’s wife, Queen Titania. This, however, was and for the most part still is, a loveless marriage, and Titania went to the mortal Tamlin for company. This resulted in the birth of the young English mage Tim Hunter. Auberon has been involved in Tim Hunter's life on several occasions. Auberon is a skilful hunter, a powerful magician, and a master of glamour. He is a just king and has more compassion and deep feelings than he shows. Through a deal between Dream the Sandman and the young author William Shakespeare, Auberon and several of his Faerie people became immortalized in Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night's Dream.
