HistoryOne of the last surviving members of the Quontaka tribe of North America in the 9th century, the young Arak was found on the open sea by a Viking Ship. Taken as a slave by one of the Vikings, but released shortly afterwards, Arak was accepted – if not welcomed – into the Viking tribe. As an adult, he joined them on their travels to medieval Europe, until setting out for journeys on his own. Arak battled in the defense of Carolus Magnus (a.k.a. Charlemagne) in what is now known as Central Europe, and befriended allies such as the sorcerer Malagigi, the Centaur Chiron, Prince Alsind and his sister Sharizard. He also battled enemies such as the witch Angelica and the demonic Greeramada. While searching to return to his North America, Arak was slain in battle. However, his spirit rose to meet He-No, the Quontauka’s God of Thunder, and allegedly Arak’s own father. Resurrected on Earth, Arak was reborn a mystical Shaman. After a journey to Japan, Arak set sail across the Pacific Ocean in hope of finding his tribe at long last. His later activities are unknown, but it is theorized that Arak may be an ancestor of both Flying Fox II (of the Young All-Stars), and Arak II (of the Helix).
