History

  A captain in the San Diego police department, Alonzo Malrey was one of many present when half of the city fell into the sea, and was one of those who survived, able to breathe underwater. He was frustrated that he couldn't do much good underwater, so allowed maverick scientist Anton Geist to change him into a grey, thick-skinned being of great strength and power. He helped to create a Sub Diego police force and has served well, greatly respected by Aquaman. When last seen, he was badly injured due to the machinations of Black Manta.
