  A powerful tyrant creature from another dimension who attempted to invade our space/time continuum. Abraxis himself could not enter our universe directly, so he chose twelve people of Earth and endowed them with superpowers to do his bidding. Thanks to his disciples, Abraxis was able to open a breach between the worlds. Waverider sensed the disruption in the time/space vortex and realised the danger, then collected a cadre of heroes from various eras – including Superman, Wonder Woman, the JLI, the New Titans, Firestorm, Gunner and Sarge, Orion, Lobo, Ultra Boy, Sgt. Rock, and Enemy Ace – to help fight the threat. However, it was only after Waverider and the Spectre had freed the Justice Society of America from Ragnarök limbo and let them join the fight, that Abraxis was finally defeated.
