Synopsis:

In 1879, the head of a coven of female mystics predicts that a being called the Shattered God, the destruction of the universe, will return some time around the turning of the new millennium.

Now, Trevor Barnes is hounded by the tabloid press, who want stories aboout Wonder Woman, as the ambassador has not been seen for some weeks. He also learns that an old friend and colleague has disappeared in India, and considers heading off to investigate.

Somewhere not on earth, a woman awakens in a grave and fights off a number of demonic beings who wish her death. She rescues a figure of an infant and finds herself in a graveyard of majestic statuary with no memory of her identity. She spies a way back to Earth and heads to New York.
